The Placement Cell of IOGT continuously works around the year to help its students get the best possible corporate exposure. The Placement Cell acts as an interface between the students and the industry. An impressive array of companies comes to IOGT each year for interviewing and selecting students for Permanent placements as well as Summer Internships.

What is Placement?
1. Placement is a process of assigning a specific job to each of the selected candidates.
2. An actual posting of an employee to the specific job with rank & responsibilities attached to it.
3. It involves assigning a specific rank and responsibility to an individual.
4. It implies matching the requirements of a job with the qualifications of candidate’s skills, abilities, potentials, capacities and their expectation towards the organization.
5. We encourage industry to actively consider our students for appropriate positions. The talent acquisition at IOGT is done through the following process:

Identifying opportunities in your organization
IOGT placement brochure detailing the programme structure and its attributes, along with student profiles (according to the specialization) and other details is delivered to organizations to give them an insight about the institute, its programmes and the students. The placement brochure is also available on the Institute Website. The Placement Cell contacts the organizations to find out their campus recruitment plan for final and summer placement for the year. Alternately the organizations can intimate the Placement Cell about the available opportunities through email or phone.

Pre-Placement Talk
The Pre-Placement Talk/Company Presentation is an opportunity for the students and the organization to interact with each other, to clearly understand the job requirements, company expectations and ob profiles offered. The organizations are required to conduct a Pre placement talk before starting with the selection process. Time and date for the pre placement talk can be decided upon a mutually convenient basis. The organization is requested to give a pre-placement talk covering the following aspects:

A. Overview of the company and its operations
B. Detailed Job Description
C. Skill set required/looking for in a candidate
D. Nature & period of training/probation, if any
E. Compensation package offered
F. Selection procedure to be adopted

Final Recruitment
The date of campus visit / recruitment is finalized in consultation with the respective organization. The students who have a best fit based on the skill set requirements of the company, and those who are interested in applying to the organization are identified and their detailed resumes are forwarded to the companies for further processing. Companies may also invite CVs of interested and shortlisted students on the basis of their profiles before coming on campus. The final interviews are held at IOGT campus or at the company location as the case may be.
